EquipNet Direct Adds Inland to Client Roster Company to develop customer's first invement recovery program of its kind
Braintree,
MA, August 9, 2000 - EquipNet Direct, the only online asset management
company offering complete solutions to customers, announced today that
Inland Paperboard and Packaging, Inc., a premier supplier of packaging
products to retail and industrial customers, has signed a contract to
implement a proprietary investment recovery program.
EquipNet
Direct conducted a complete analysis of Inland to determine its needs
and, in turn, customized the program accordingly. There are three parts
to the solution that EquipNet Direct is providing. The first is ARMS
(Asset Redeployment Management System), its proprietary software that
allows for internal redeployment of inactive machinery and equipment.
The second is MarketPlace - EquipNet Direct's public web site that allows
companies to realize fair market prices for their idle assets. The third
major component of the program is customized reports and intelligence
on the asset recovery process.
"We
are excited to be working with Inland in executing a program that will
efficiently and methodically redeploy the company's used industrial
equipment," said Dr. Michael Raymont, Chairman of EquipNet Direct. "This
is the first time ever that Inland will have a centralized tool to track
and redeploy its idle assets." The customized version of ARMS includes
tailored disposition and material handling forms, and links to Inland's
internal financial systems. All assets that are not redeployed via ARMS
will automatically be moved into the EquipNet Direct MarketPlace, to
be sold externally.
"We
are glad to have found a partner that could handle all of our equipment
redeployment needs," said Bob Neel, General Purchasing Manager for Inland.
"This is such a necessary function of this business, and we are thrilled
to work with EquipNet Direct to ensure that we get the maximum investment
recovery from our idle assets."
