MyPersonal.com Invests in Greek-Letter Community, Sponsoring the Attendance of Several Students to National Leadership Workshops
MyPersonal.com Launches First Fraternity Portal for Sigma Chi's 190,000 members

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (April 11, 2000) MyPersonal.com Inc. the leading affinity portal provider, helps address some of the issues faced by its Fraternity partners by sponsoring the attendance of several students to the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institutes (UIFI) leadership workshops offered by the National Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Students can find out about registering for the scholarships by visiting http://nicindy.org/servprog.htm.

In addition, MyPersonal announced the launch of the official portal for Sigma Chi at www.sigmachi.com. Sigma Chi is the first in a series of fraternity partners for MyPersonal, with portals for Sigma Nu, Sigma Pi and Delta Delta Delta launching in the coming months.

The UIFI leadership workshops are designed to hone students leadership skills and then challenge them to improve their respective communities. The curriculum assists each student in developing personal skills and goals, offers a platform for the exchange of new ideas and helps them create an action plan for their return to campus. The participating students represent close to 250 different universities and colleges and 115 different Greek affiliations.

It is a unique company that takes the time to understand the larger issues that an organization faces and is willing to dedicate the time and resources required to make a difference, said Mark Anderson, president and CEO of Sigma Chi Corporation. MyPersonal has demonstrated their commitment to us; as an organization based on high standards and philanthropic values, our partnership is a natural fit.

In addition, MyPersonal addresses the needs and challenges of university alumni associations by holding forums for communication and growth. The company is hosting a series of regional round tables, which foster the open exchange of ideas and solutions between alumni leaders and market experts.

We want to make sure that we are adding value to the communities we are touching, said Douglas Fish, president and CEO of MyPersonal. To this end, MyPersonal supports activities in the greater community that facilitate positive interactions, while working with organizations to create a portal that fosters communication and provides an understanding of organization-specific ideals.

The Sigma Chi portal provides a real-time connection to the fraternity-at-large and facilitates communication with the more than 190,000 members of Sigma Chi. The portal is easily tailored to each users preferences, offering varied content such as personal stock portfolio updates, sports highlights from the users alma mater, weather based on location and preferred headline news. Additional features include Wed-based, vanity e-mail, online shopping through providers like Amazon.com and CDNow.com and up-to-date information on the latest fraternity-related activities and events.

Fraternity members are further encouraged to utilize the portal due to the revenue sharing program between MyPersonal and Sigma Chi. A portion of the funds generated through portal usage and e-commerce will go directly to the organization.

This portal is a robust communications tool that will enable us to address our members needs within the context of their daily online activities, while maintaining consistency with Sigma Chis values and ideals, said Anderson. This partnership with MyPersonal represents a unique synergy between the long-standing heritage and history of our organization and the exciting opportunities that technology can now afford.
