Jerusalem Global Ventures Invests $1 mln in Notal Vision The investment was at a company value of $3 million, before money. Notal Vision developed a computerized self-test for identifying and monitoring Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Investment bank Jerusalem Global Ventures today announced a $1 million investment in Notal Vision at a company value of $3 million, before money. Notal Vision developed a computerized self-test for identifying and monitoring Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). AMD is the most frequent cause of adult blindness in the Western world. Possibilities for treating AMD were limited until recently. In the past year, however, revolutionary treatments capable of saving the sight of patients treated in the early stages of AMD have become available. Today, a large proportion of patients diagnosed with AMD have reached a stage at which treatment can no longer be effective. Even those who are treatable have already suffered the irretrievable loss of part of their vision. Notal Vision has developed a test that will enable tens of millions of patients in the early stages of AMD to be monitored and treated while their vision can still be saved.
