The Digital Edge Teams With Oraios Will Develop 3D Internet Marketing Solutions
New York, NY - Oraios Inc., a developer of cutting-edge web-based 3D platforms announced today that The Digital Edge (TDE), the interactive arm of The Media Edge, has entered into a strategic partnership to develop exclusive online marketing opportunities for some of the agency's key clients. Programs developed by TDE will include a variety of features and functionality aimed at testing what many consider to be the next evolution of web-based content. Concepts will be jointly developed between TDE and Oraios. Oraios technology will deliver state-of-the-art brand exposure, content, and online shopping experiences for TDE clients. Oraios-hosted environments will enable consumers to travel and surf through highly realistic three-dimensional virtual stores and meeting places, where they will be able to view product, interact with customer service specialists as well as talk to other on-line shoppers in real time. "Until today, 3D at narrowband speed has been marginal at best," said TDE Director of Media Strategy Adam Gerber. "We're very excited about Oraios' technology, and look forward to helping our clients understand the value associated with communicating to consumers in a 3D environment." TDE will manage relationships with clients regarding the proposal, implementation and maintenance of Oraios solutions. Oraios Inc. will handle the rendering of the work associated with implementing and maintaining the solutions. Oraios’ technology enables the creation of a complete 3-D on-line environment with individual destinations that consumers can enter by means of "avatars," an on-line 3D personal representation of themselves. The capabilities of these 3D environments will be considerably more extensive than conventional e-shopping and content sites. As a result of Oraios' proprietary streaming technologies, this 3D experience can be delivered via 56K dial-up modem connections. The new 3D technology and other Oraios platforms are set to launch in January 2001. Oraios Inc., based in New York City was founded in January 2000, and delivers expansive 3D, multi-user environments over narrow bandwidth. Oraios' environments dramatically enhance Internet shopping, resulting in a greater user experience for consumers and increased sales for businesses.
